“Blackout” Voted Worst Album Of The Year At NME Awards

 POSTED BY Danny

Britney’s latest album “Blackout” was voted the wost album of the year at last night’s NME awards in London. Other ‘nominees’ in this category included Leona Lewis’ debut album.

Oh well, who cares what they think? I’d rather listen to the ‘worst album of the year’ than any of the pretentious indie crap that they promote. At least she won best album of the year at the NRJ awards last month… and will hopefully win more later this year!

The NME are all about the artists that THEY think represent real music, they’re all just indie rockers which all gets a bit boring. Well i don’t feel that they should be able to include Britney in there magazine. All of the artists in NME are indie or rock artists and of course all these emo rocker types are gonna say they don’t like Britney or Leona or anyone else thats mainstream. There ‘Worst Album’ nominees should also be Indie rockers atleast then it’d be more fair. Blackout rules, it’s the best album i’ve gotten in years, i still love it after 5 months of continuous play. I love britney xoxox

Same here. After listening to it dozens of times when I first got it, I still listen to it occasionally. My dad likes it too, lol.

Blackout is 1 of her best albums, i’m sure there’s some facts 2 back that up…her album was unfairly judged by the NME awards, they’re rubbish lol! Ignorant to music, they think they imbrace music by only appreciating what they consider to be “REAL MUSIC” music is music in all it’s forms (DO RE MI FA SO LA TI DO) and it deserves respect and recognition.

Yeah, is that really a rock-oriented award show? If so, they’re just comparing apples to oranges. They should compare pop albums to other pop albums, not rock. It just doesn’t make sense.

who cares!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
blackouts a great album best ive bought in the last 12 months if not more.her bestso far

Who cares what this second rate award’s show has to say. The album speaks for itself.

Who the hell are NME? Sounds like a bunch of jackasses trying to take shots at Britney Spears and trying to get some attention. Just because they have an opinion doesn’t mean people care. They probably are a bunch of indie douchebags who think they’re better because they’re not mainstream. Idiots.

I guess it depends on who judges the album and what music they tend to favor.I’ll admit Blackout is a little bit..ummm extreme but so is the hard rock/heavy metal I listen to. Billy is right I think it’s a rock-oriented audience.
You can’t really compare Britney against rockers like you can to say..Beyoncee’ Knowles.(lol that rhymes). They need to change how to do ratings.

Who cares such stupid award…
The reality is that “Blackout” gains lots of praises from the presses and everyone knows that it is a good album.
We just turn a blind eye to this freakin’ award.

they are sucks!!! the truth is dey hate britney !!! so dey vote her album as the worst album of the year!!! the songs are great maybe if britney wernt the singer it will not be the worst album!!! dey are sucks!!!! dey are just insecure and envy!

They just wanna make use of the reputation of Britney to get attention and attract more audiences

Well, I like her first and second album more than the rest. Baby One More Time rules! I just can’t explain how can Blackout be so popular (see the poll). The late 90’s Britney Spears was better - better clothes, better songs, sunnier videos.

The NME Award show obviously doesn’t know a great album when they hear it. “Blackout” is Brit’s best album so far, where all 12 songs could potiently be singles, cuz they are all that great. I love all of Brit’s albums as well as all of the songs on them, and any other songs of her’s that i have heard, but “Blackout” is the only one i listened to over and over again for months after i got it and still am listenin to over and over again. And anyone who says that the NME awards show shouldn’t compare “Blackout” to the Indie music they are known for is so absolutley right. LOVE YA BRIT!!! Don’t worry about this stupid award show, all ur fans know “Blackout” is a great album and that the good award shows recognizin it are all that matters.
