This week’s issue of Us Weekly magazine claims Britney attended a dance class last week and put on a new track for her classmates to listen to.  One attendee said it looked like she was working on a routine for the song.

Britney was spotted at one of her favourite gyms in Marina del Ray last night.  She was seen working up a sweat on the treadmill and having a conversation with her personal trainer, laughing in between all the hard work!

Later, Britney headed over to the recording studio in Burbank for another recording session.  Larry Rudolph wasn’t joking when he said she would be spending the summer in the studio!  Her mother also accompanied her.

Britney Spears is asking Keri Hilson to give her more hits.

The R&B star, who penned “Gimme More” for Britney has reunited with her to work on the 26-year-old’s upcoming album, a process she dubs “refreshing.”

“I got to step outside of what I normally do,” Keri tells Rap-Up TV. “I’m not normally this huge pop writer…and Britney, she’s special. I can’t say that she’s guarded, but I understand why she doesn’t want to talk about certain things and I respect that about her.”

What’s important to know about the Britster is that she is not a “puppet” strung along and directed by label higher-ups, Keri says.

“She really isn’t the puppet that people make her out to be,” she adds. “She has an opinion and she’s a very, very bright girl.”

In the studio, the hitmaking duo has never run into any problems as Britney is “a pleasure to work with.” You won’t find any diva behavior in there!

“[She] never mouth[s] off,” the 25-year-old says. “She’s a very, very sweet person, takes direction very well.”

Keri, who’s putting the finishing touches on her own album, In a Perfect World, also has some words for her colleague’s critics.

“Right now she’s dealing with life,” she says. “She’s just dealing with life. Leave that girl alone.”

Britney Spears’ life may seem glitzy and glamorous - but according to one of her collaborators, it hasn’t gone to the pop princess’ head!

Keri Hilson, one of the songwriters working on Brit’s upcoming record, characterized working with Britney as being “completely normal” during a conversation with Extra backstage at F’N MTV yesterday. “You wouldn’t think that - but [she's] very normal,” Hilson said. “We just have girl talk and bang out a song, just like any other artist I would work with.”

Keri also dished a few details about Brit’s next album, confirming that she’d be working with Danja and “the rest of Timbaland’s crew”, and that she’d already started working with Britney in both Vegas and LA. “I’m excited,” she told Extra. “We’re going to bang it out this time!”

We’re certainly pumped to hear it - after all, the last time Keri and Britney collaborated on a song, they came up with “Gimme More”!

Carlo from BritneyBoards.org, an ExtraTV reporter, recently attended an MTV press conference and got to ask Keri Hilson whether she was working on Britney’s new album.

Here’s the full scoop:

Lady GaGa, who is currently climbing up charts worldwide with her hit “Just Dance”, has confirmed to Toronto based radio station 999Mix FM that she has worked with Britney on songs for her album.  She has written two songs for Britney.

She said Britney’s new album is going to be amazing, saying “It’s gonna be a big comeback for her,” and that she loved the last one, 2007’s “Blackout”.  The upcoming star said that Britney is still in the studio and she expects the album to be out sometime in 2009.

Britney Spears is definitely in the studio and working on a new album.

Yes, despite unclear signals from various gossip sites, I am told that Spears is working on a CD that Jive is expecting to get out by mid-December.

The album is a follow-up to “Blackout,” the Spears album that tanked quickly after its release in late 2007.

How different will the new CD be from “Blackout”? Well, not a lot, really. Many of the same producers and writers will be on this one, too. The main difference will be that this time Spears won’t first self-destruct on the MTV Vide Music Awards and then have a public nervous breakdown while the album is being released.

One reason for the big push to put Britney back in stores is that she owes Jive a lot of money. If they can finish the album and get it out without incident, my guess is that Spears will go out on tour in 2009. Paparazzi, bloggers, this is advance notice to get ready!

According to Socialite Life, Britney was spotted leaving a recording studio in the early hours of this morning.  She must have headed straight for the studio after leaving the Generation Rescue event she attended earlier in the evening.

This marks the 5th time this month that Britney has been seen at the studio, after sessions on the 1st, 10th, 13th and 14th of July.  Keep it up Brit, it must feel good for her to be working again!

Britney Spears is attempting yet another comeback: Reps have confirmed that she is at work on the follow-up to 2007’s Blackout. A statement from Jive Records and Spears’ manager Larry Rudolph says that “Britney Spears is spending her summer in the recording studio, working with a team of top-notch producers and songwriters. We’re very excited about what she’s accomplished so far.”

So is Sean Garrett, who happens to be one of those producers. “We’re trying to take her stuff to the next level,” he tells EW.com. “I’m going to come up with something crazy for her.”

Spears has sold 83 million albums worldwide in her career, but Blackout only went platinum in the U.S., likely due to declining CD sales and her status as last year’s most permanent tabloid fixture. But Garrett — who’s also worked with Usher, Beyoncé, and Chris Brown — welcomes the challenge. “I like to work on an artist when they count them out…and bring them back.”

Britney Spears’s summer won’t be all rest and relaxation this year: The pop singer will be spending time hard at work on her yet-untitled next album, according to her manager.

“Britney Spears is spending her summer in the recording studio, working on a brand new album,” manager Larry Rudolph announced Tuesday in a statement released by Jive Records.

“She’s working with a team of top-notch producers and songwriters, and we’re very excited about what she’s accomplished so far. No album release date has been confirmed yet.”

Spears spent time in and out of the studio in the spring, fueling rumors of an upcoming album. But at that time it was “recreational,” Rudolph insisted.

“She’s been going to the studio, she’s been having some fun. But it’s all recreational for her,” he told PEOPLE in May. “She’s like, ‘I want to go to the studio because I want to have some fun’ and that’s what it’s all about. There’s no schedule, there’s no agenda, there’s no anything. She is just enjoying herself.”

In the studio, “She’s giggly,” he added. “Some days she’ll go in and get nothing done. Some times she’ll just play around a little bit.”

But Rudolph said there was a reason behind the playtime. “She’s the type of person who has the eye of the tiger,” he said. “She’ll likely wake up one day and decide she wants to do more than that. Whether that is a day from now, a month from now or a year from now or five years from now, I have no idea.”

Lucky for her fans, she woke up sooner rather than later.

After a difficult year that included an ongoing custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline and two well-publicized visits to the hospital, Rudolph says Spears is feeling strong and her old self again.

“She’s got people around her that really care about her and are there to point her in the right direction in respect to the things she should be concentrating on – her life.”

Last week, Spears filmed a video segment in Hollywood that is expected to be part of Madonna’s upcoming Sticky & Sweet tour.

“Britney is getting back in touch with Britney,” Rudolph said in May. “And she’s doing an amazing job at that.”

For the second time in 3 days, Britney was seen leaving the recording studio last night.  She was spotted leavings the studio at the Edmonds Tower in Hollywood.

This time she was joined by her manager, Larry Rudolph.  Looks like they’re definately working together again now!

Britney was spotted leaving a Hollywood recording studio last night with her mother, Lynne.  Britney looked casual in a pink vest and her hair tied up in a bun.

This is the third time this month that Britney has been seen recording, after sessions on the 1st and 10th of July.

Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, who confirmed last week that he is working with Britney on her upcoming sixth studio album, has given another interview to E! and talked more about what´s going on with Britney and her album.

Some of the highlights of the interview include:

She is surrounding herself with the right team, including Larry Rudolph.

She asks for Starbucks and Red Bull while in the studio.

She recorded the first track in 2.5 hours, while usually a session lasts 8 to 10 hours.

She´s “ready for a comeback”, but “never really went away”.

“This album is gonna be a huge album”.

They´re going to work on another song together.

“This song is going to be a huge song in the clubs, a huge ringtone song, I play it for the first time to people and they´re like ´woah, it´s reinventing Britney´.

“She´s focussed”.
