Madonna and Britney’s snog at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2003 has been voted the best famous kiss of the last decade.

The smooch, which took place during a performance of Madonna’s ‘Like A Virgin’ at the ceremony, came first in the poll conducted by UK department store Selfridges.

The performance also saw Madonna kiss Christina Aguilera.

“Madonna performing with both Britney and Christina was a big enough event in itself, but nobody – even the MTV people – expected what happened. It is one of the most memorable moments ever,” a source said.

UK Chart Update
by Danny
comments
Posted on November 29th, 2009

In the official singles chart, “3″ falls 4 places to number 14 in its third week on the chart.

The newly released Singles Collection enters the official albums chart at number 38.

I’m hardly surprised at the collection’s low placing – hopefully next time Jive realise they can’t just throw something out with no new material (apart from one new song which most people already have) and expect people to buy it.

Britney’s new single “3″ has entered the official UK singles chart at #7 this week, ahead of the release of The Singles Collection on November 23rd.

Also wanted to appologise for the downtime (which lasted around a week!) – hopefully it doesn’t happen again.

Britney Spears is back on top as her single “3″ has the biggest chart jump of the week from 86-1. That breaks the record previously set early this year by Kelly Clarkson when “My Life Would Suck Without You” jumped from #82 all the way to #1. And of course, this ends the long run for “I Gotta Feeling” which held down the #1 spot for 16 straight weeks.

TW LW WKS ON CHART TITLE/ARTIST
1 86 2 3 / Britney Spears No. 1 (1 week)
2 2 11 SEXY CHICK / David Guetta Featuring Akon
3 4 10 DOWN / Jay Sean Featuring Lil Wayne
4 1 18 I GOTTA FEELING / The Black Eyed Peas
5 5 9 PARTY IN THE USA / Miley Cyrus
6 8 8 CHA CHING / Hedley (Greatest Gainer/Digital)
7 3 5 WHATCHA SAY / Jason DeRulo
8 6 24 YOU BELONG WITH ME / Taylor Swift
9 7 10 EVACUATE THE DANCEFLOOR / Cascada
10 — 1 ONE LESS LONELY GIRL / Justin Bieber (Hot Shot Debut)
