Here’s a short but sweet message from Britney:
“On my way to Kentwood…. five days left! So excited!” ~Britney
Well, the tour actually starts in four days, but glad to see that she’s excited. That is of course if she writes these herself…

NEW YORK, Feb. 27 /PRNewswire/ — Britney Spears continues her dominance on the charts, her latest single “Circus” is the No. 1 song on the Top 40 radio charts and her fifth No. 1 song overall. Currently she holds three songs in the Top 40 chart, her breakout first hit song “Womanizer,” “Circus” and her rapidly rising third single “If You See Amy.” Additionally this marks the first time in her storied career where Spears scores back-to-back No. 1 singles on the radio chart, according to industry trade Radio & Records.
The platinum album Circus debuted at No. 1 and made Britney Spears the first female ever to have five No. 1 album debuts. Worldwide, the album has sold in excess of three million albums. Circus reunites Spears with previous collaborators Max Martin, Danja and Bloodshy & Avant and her latest video for “If You See Amy” recently wrapped shooting in Los Angeles and was directed by Jake Nava (Beyonce, Shakira, P!nk).
Spears’ upcoming arena tour, “The Circus Starring Britney Spears” kicks-off in New Orleans on March 3, 2009. In the days following her tour announcement, tour promoter AEG Live immediately added six shows in Los Angeles, Toronto, New Jersey, Chicago, Long Island, NY and Anaheim, CA, in order to cover the overwhelming demand from fans worldwide.
Britney Spears is one of the top-selling artists of the last decade, and to date she has sold in excess of 63 million albums worldwide: …Baby One More Time (1999); Oops!… I Did It Again (2000); Britney (2001); In The Zone (2003) and Blackout (2007).

I have to admit that I’m not a fan of this. The font and the way it’s been used look like something a fan would have made 4 years ago. Plus, there were better pictures, which suited the theme of the song more, from this photoshoot.

As Britney Spears gears up to kick off her Circus tour March 3 in New Orleans, PEOPLE enlisted the tour’s resident illusionist, Ed Alonzo, for a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the tricks – musical and otherwise – the star, 27, has in store for fans.
So is this comeback for the serially-troubled Spears? “I don’t know if I would call it a comeback,” says Alonzo, a lead illusionist on MyNetworkTV’s Masters of Illusion. “It’s more of a continuation of the greatness she always had.”
Britney Plays a Magician’s Assistant
During one song (Alonzo won’t say which one), Britney becomes part of his magic act. “She’s incorporated into major illusions. She’ll do dissection, where she’s sawed in half, and transposition, where she’s in one place and ends up in another place. She’s doing all the classic elements of magic.”
Yep, It’ll be a Spectacle
“There are three giant [circus] rings with unbelievable things hanging in the air and flying around,” says Alonzo.
Expect Outrageous Dancing
“She’s dancing so hard in the show,” Alonzo says. “It’s elements of hip-hop, tumbling, it’s really outrageous. The kind of choreography in the show is similar to the kind of stuff you see in America’s Best Dance Crew.”
Brit’s Back in Shape
“She looks really incredible,” says Alonzo, who played Max, the owner of the diner hangout, in the ’90s TV hit Saved By The Bell. “She’s really toned. Her stomach looks fantastic. This is the Britney Spears people remember from the past. Even stronger and better.”
This Time, Britney’s on Point
Forget her bungled performance at the 2007 MTV’s VMAs. “She’s really got it together,” says Alonzo. “She’s totally focused. And she’s working her butt off.”

Bad news for Britney this week on the official UK singles chart. The “Circus” CD single was released last monday, but the release didn’t manage to raise the song’s position. In fact, it was the opposite! The track fell one place to #18.
On the official album chart, “Circus” climbs three spots to #50.
Time for If U Seek Amy to work its magic…

Last March, while Britney Spears was just beginning to live under the control of her father’s court-ordered conservatorship, she made headlines yet again when she met with fellow scandal magnet a private chat over dinner in L.A..
And then in May 2008, Britney joined Mel and his family on vacation in Costa Rica.
On Sunday night’s special post-Oscar edition of Jimmy Kimmel Live, Mel opened up about what moved him to reach out to the troubled pop star.
“She’s a nice kid, ya know. She was just going through a rough patch,” he explained. “You see kids that you know in the industry… I just felt like this poor kid she’s lining up to be stoned. I just thought, ‘I wonder if anyone is reaching out to her,’ so I just called her and she’s doing great now.”
But Mel was not willing to take any of the credit for Britney’s remarkable turnaround in the months since.
“It’s got nothing to do with me,” he said. “She pulled herself out of this, and her dad… he’s the real hero.”
Meanwhile, Mel still harbors regrets that he didn’t reach out to fellow Aussie actor, the late Heath Ledger.
“I shoulda called him years before,” he confessed to Jimmy. “I didn’t really know the ins and outs of what was up with him, but I don’t believe it was just an accident. Maybe I coulda called him… When you see sort of an impending tragedy or something that might go wrong, it just felt like I should do something about it.”
