Although Britney Spears admits in a new film that she “totally lost my way, lost focus, lost myself,” that won’t stand in the way of her comeback, says her manager.
“She’s definitely ready,” Larry Rudolph tells PEOPLE, following a sneak peek of Spears’s riveting MTV documentary, Britney: For the Record, airing Nov. 30, in Santa Monica, Calif.
“She loves to work,” he says. “She’s a very strong person. Everybody goes through setbacks in their lives. [But] every day, I see her getting happier and stronger.”
One of her biggest victories this year? Regaining visitation with Preston, 3, and Jayden, 2, her sons with ex-husband Kevin Federline.
So while her musical comeback is important, Spears has made it clear that motherhood comes first, says Rudolph.
“Her kids and balancing her life with her kids is an incredible priority – the No. 1 priority in terms of how I operate with her,” he says.
Spears’s boys can be seen in the film, which follows the pop star over three months as she records her upcoming album Circus, wins big at September’s MTV Video Music Awards, and speaks frankly about her problems – including her failed relationships with Federline and Justin Timberlake.
The idea for the candid documentary sprung up during a conversation Spears and Rudolph had over dinner several months ago.
“It evolved and became a question of, What will she do? What will she say? How will she say it?” he says. “How will people view her after what she’s been through and after all that they’ve seen in the tabloids over the past year or two?”
Adds Rudolph: “This became sort of a great way for her to say what she needs to say on her terms.”

Hmm this would have made more sense if we hadn’t gotten reports yesterday of Britney and Larry bailing on the screening before it was finished…

Try putting yourself in her shoes for a moment…she been living this life where she can’t do nothing or talk to anyone by herselfe…it’s been a long time since britney has been surrounded by her fans and i’m sure people or just filled with questions that what to ask her. i believe this just gets overwelming on her part and that all she can do to just breath is walk out…she needs her space and people needs to respect that.

Larry knows Britney best! So, I think if Larry says Britney’s ready, DAMN she is ready! LOL!!!
I just wanna forget about the screening episode yesterday….Maybe she’s not feeling too well OR the room is too hot she juz wanna get out OR she’s Britney Spears she gets to do whatever she wants! Lol…juz kidding. I know, if I was there too, I would be kinda disappointed. But hey, come on guys….we’ve seen enormous improvement for the past one year and let’s not get mad over just one incident.

I agree prem. So much positive things hav been happening in her life. Its clear that she is not all that happy with the conservatorship and is really upset about it and life is a chore 4 her at the moment. But we just gota stick with her through it and not get on her case for every small thing that we dont agree with or thowt shuld hav gone differently. It happened and we myt neva kno y but just get ova it and focus on the otha great positive things coming up. She will be that brit we know and love eventually..just takes time unfortunately

More details about Britney’s “For The Record” documentary have surfaced. Unfortunately only confirming Britney is sad and lost.
According to Hollywoodbubble.com (who was present at the media screening last night), when asked if Britney felt ready to put herself in the spotlight again, which was followed by awkward silence, Britney just stared into space, not saying a word.
“I have realized that it’s better to not have feelings, and not feel anything at all, because when you’re happy, everyone takes that away from you, they hear me, but they’re not listening, it’s sad. I’m so sad.”
She then began to burst into tears.
what the_____!!!!!! im so worried man!!!!! she just needz to knw that her fans are prolly one of the biggest things she has alive!!! nd she should knw that we will always support her cuz weve loved her for a v.long time now!!!!!i hope this feeelin of brit goes away!!!

This is soooo cool!
In a statement released to MTV.com, manager Larry Rudolph confirms Britney’s new music video for ‘Circus’ is “set to debut around the release of the album on December 2″
“It is amazing,” Rudolph said. “The video is extraordinary. It is really, really good.”
The video was shot by Francis Lawrence (“I’m A Slave 4 U”), and features a large circus ring, mysterious hallway, and rumor has it a house of mirrors.

hi ! just a random question but does anybody know exactly why they’ve put “radar” on the new album again ? thanks.
Comment by olano — Sunday, November 23, 2008 @ 11:59 am
Radar was added cos’ they promised the producers Bloodshy & Avant a single release which was eventually cancelled when they decided to close the Blackout era. So to compensate for it, they put this on the next album. If you ask me, they should have just released the single and be done with it although I really love the new mix of Radar.
Comment by D.Ho — Sunday, November 23, 2008 @ 4:05 pm
oh ok! and does this new version of Radar sound really different from the original one ?

I’m gonna buy the album the first day it’s out! I’m getting around 10 copies for my friends too (even though some claim they hate Britney….). I just hope they’re all not sold out like her previous album Blackout. I had a tough time finding a copy!

wow prem…thats gonna cost you quite a bit, but good for you.
UK chart update – Womanizer is spending its 3rd week in the top 10, but has dropped to #9, on its 3rd week of download sales; cd single is out tomorrow, with her X Factor performance on Saturday. is she likely to perform Womanizer or Circus, given that the single is about to hit airwaves some time soon?? what do you guys think?
Comment by Charles — Sunday, November 23, 2008 @ 10:54 pm
I think she gonna start with Womanizer then go into Circus It would be better if she sang Circus since that is the next single. It would be an early promotion for the song…

Hey Prem! You are from Malaysia right? So am I! Which part? I didn’t know Blackout sold out so quickly in Malaysia but that’s good to know.
