Britney In New York City
Britney departed from LAX airport yesterday and made way for New York. As of now we don’t know what she’s up to, but I bet it’s something to do with the album. Photoshoot? Promo? We’ll have to wait and see! Oh, and I think this is Britney’s first time in New York since February 2007, before she shaved her head. |

“Womanizer” Promo Cover And Song Info
Without wishing to stir up any of that boring Christina vs Britney nonsense, Britney’s new single ‘Womanizer’ is exactly what Christina is trying - and failing - to do with her own new single. We heard the track in full earlier today and while we enjoyed (what we could hear of) the clip that leaked on Monday hearing the track in full - and at full volume - throws the whole thing into a brand new realm of amazingness. Stylistically it shares a lot in common with Rachel Stevens’ ‘Some Girls’ but in Britney terms it’s a brilliantly executed mashup of ‘Toxic’ with the last album’s more insane moments like ‘Ooh Ooh Baby’. Most important thing: it doesn’t fade at the end - the beat drops out while Britney trills the main “YOU’RE A WOMANIZER OH WOMANIZER OH YOU’RE A WOMANIZER BABY” hook. This track lays a really strong foundation for the fully-realised comeback that didn’t quite happen last time and it’s hard not to think of it as a late contender for single of the year. Like we said above, it’s literally quite good. Source: PopJUSTICE |

Britney Spears is getting back to work in a big way. On Wednesday, the pop star – incognito in a black wig and red lipstick – filmed the video for her upcoming single, “Womanizer,” and will continue shooting Thursday, sources tell PEOPLE. Filming took place Wednesday at Elevate Lounge, a club located within Takami Sushi & Robata restaurant on the 21st floor of an office building in downtown L.A., says a source. In the video, directed by Joseph Kahn (who worked with Spears on “Toxic” and “Stronger”), she plays a waitress. Dancers arrived at the shoot Wednesday morning dressed in waiter uniforms of white dress shirts, skinny ties, and black pants or leggings. “Womanizer,” the first single off Spears’ upcoming album Circus will hit radio soon, says a source, and Spears will start practicing live performances next month. Simon Cowell: Britney To Perform On UK’s X Factor
Britney Spears is going from A-list to X-list! “X-Factor” judge Simon Cowell confirmed to “Extra” that Brit will be performing on the hit Brit music show. “Yes, I think Britney Spears is going to perform on ‘The X Factor,’” Simon said. When asked how Cowell managed to snag Spears, he replied, “We didn’t GET her. She’s got a record coming out. We have the number one show in England. It’s the best show for her to perform on. We’re absolutely thrilled to have her.” The “American Idol” judge also his personal opinion about the “Gimme More” singer. “I’ve always said this about Britney — that she’s a hugely talented person. Everyone wants to work with her because she’s a star. She’s the number one booking in the world at the moment for a show… The fact that she goes a bit crazy occasionally makes her more interesting. And now she has her career back on track — fantastic. I’m thrilled.” The snarky judge also admitted that Britney’s past erratic behavior didn’t deter him from booking her. “If she wants to shave her head before she comes on the show, she’s welcome to,” said Simon. “I don’t care.” Source: ExtraTV |

Britney.com Updates About The “Womanizer” Delay
I know, I know… I’m bummed about “Womanizer” being MIA, too! Just got the official word from Jive — they’re putting the finishing touches on “Womanizer” as I write this! Oh, and I hear it’s going to be the best damn B track to date. So if I had the choice between hearing a so-so song today and waiting for a kick-ass tune? Um, kick-ass tune, please! And I assure you—the second it’s ready, you’ll hear the REAL thing here on Britney.com. Those little leaks out there? NOT IT. Remember loves — if it’s not here, it’s not legit! Source: Britney.com Someone PLEASE fire her, now! Britney’s record company better change the format of the official site when the album is released, it’s so unprofessional at the moment. |
