Info On Britney’s Night Out At Maloof’s Party

Count on Britney Spears to steal the spotlight at a soiree, even when she’s not even doing anything.

Brit, along with dad Jamie Spears, made a late appearance at Phil Maloof’s Beverly Hills music-label bash for the Rev Theory band Wednesday night.

“The Spears family is very close friends with the Maloof family and vice versa,” a source tells E!. “They came out to support them.”

The popster arrived around 11:30, as the party was dying down, and held court in a roped-off VIP room at the front of the house.

“It was like an exhibit at a zoo,” says another partygoer, Katie Thiele. “There was a line of people waiting to look in and see the Britney exhibit.”

Britney, who was drinking Coke and smoking, didn’t seem fazed. But one unwelcome party guest got under her dad’s skin.

A paparazzo snuck in to the private party—meant to celebrate the band’s appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live—posing as an event photographer. Brit’s dad quickly recognized the snapper and told him to leave.

“He said, ‘You’re just like Adnan,’ ” a source tells E!.

Brit, wearing a black minidress, seemed to be enjoying herself, despite the party-crashing pap. “She looked great,” Thiele says. “She was chatting with friends. She looked like she was having a good time.”

Aww, I’m glad she had a good time. She looks amazing anymore. I’m glad we don’t see her out and about every single day like in 2007. Her progress is really astonishing. Can’t wait until she’s back at 100% good health and the conservatorship is over.

yeah..i hope she makes a full recovery. i was watching some videos from this past year of britney, and she sure has been through hell. people see her now, and they think she got well overnight. she went through rehab, losing custody of her kids(any mom knows that’s painful),two hospitalizations, a failed comebcak(i blame the label for making her continue with the project after her rehab) and a tough time dealing with a mental illness and trying to find the right medications.

She has made so much progress personally: regained some custody, is more stable psychologically, and she’s enthusiastic about making another album. God Bless Britney. She is a survivor. With this comeback, it’s not so much about the music to me as it is to see her happy again and doing what she loves: performing. It was and is her passion. i just hope she gets back her stage confidence again….if it really went anywhere to begin with.

HEY DANNY U DIDN’T SEE THIS YESTERDAY ON E!….

Britney Spears apparently isn’t feeling any ill will toward MTV after her disastrous performance at last year’s Video Music Awards.

The well-on-her-way-to-a-comeback pop princess will appear in a television promo for this year’s VMAs.

She shot the spot on Tuesday at the Paramount lot in Hollywood (the site of this year’s show) with first-time host, British bad-boy comedian and Forgetting Sarah Marshall star Russell Brand.

“It was mostly ad-libbed, with Russell asking her for advice about hosting the show,” a source tells me. “There’s also a 9,000-pound elephant in it, as in ‘the elephant in the room.’ ”

So, does this mean Ms. Spears, who is up for two VMAs this year, will be performing on the big night when it airs live on Sept. 7?

A rep for MTV declined to comment on the possibility.

even if she doesn’t win so what Mariah Carey is bigger than her and hasn’t won one either but she is also nominatied so who knows this can finally be their time. Its good she is doing a promo but the people who do promo are usually performing… but it could be different they did it differently last year too so who knows
