BRITNEY SPEARS: How she got her body back!

Britney isn’t getting just her life back, she’s getting her body back as well. The pop star talks to OK! about how her diet played a big role in getting herself into killer shape. OK! reveals the diet and workout that’s helping Britney look better than ever.

“I’m the healthiest I’ve been all my life,” Britney says.

- “My diet has a lot to do with my getting into shape,” Britney says. “I have no sugar. I don’t eat fruit or even fruit juice because of the sugar. I eat chicken and salmon and rice. I eat avocados. I’ll have egg whites for breakfast and sometimes turkey burgers for lunch. I try to do just 1,200 calories a day. It may sound like it’s not much, but it’s actually a lot of food if you eat the right things.”

- “Frappuccinos - gone,” she laughs. “I do still drink coffee, but just with Equal.”

- Her regular routine, she says, is “a lot of cardio and weights.” She works out five days a week, taking the weekends off, often training at an outside gym and sometimes at the fully-equipped gym in her house.

-”I was working with male trainers and recently switched to a woman because she knew how to lean me out better,” Britney explains, saying that she didn’t want to become too bulky from her training routines. She may change back to a male trainer later, once she gets to be as “cut” as she wants.

The singer’s comittment to being healthy is applauded by trainers like Miami-based trainer and owner of SOMA Fitness & Performance, Adam Cronin. Cronin, who has not worked with the pop star, says Britney’s routine of following a 1,200-calorie-a-day, high-protein meal plan is ideal for someone who wants to drop pounds in a safe, healthy way.

“If you follow a vigorous workout program — plus this eating program — it is possible to lose up to 12 pounds in 30 days, in a very healthy, non fad-like way,” Adam tells OK!.

Photographers spotted Britney leaving Foresight Studios in Los Angeles yesterday, which is a professional dance rehearsal studio.  She was seen leaving with working out clothes/shoes in her hands, and, according to stalker website X17, backup dancers were spotted in the area.

Who know’s what she’s up to.  A lot of people are taking this to mean she’s rehearsing for a VMA performance, but she could just be rehearsing in general for the comeback.  After all, it’s been over 4 years since she’s danced properly in public.

She will sing a track from her new album at the MTV Video Music Awards in Hollywood on September 7 in her first public performance since her disastrous appearance at the 2007 ceremony.

Then, in front of scores of celebrity guests and millions of viewers, Britney forgot her dance routines and could not mime in time to her single Gimme More.

Her abysmal effort came as she was staging scenes in bars, nightclubs and hotels. Later she was twice admitted to hospital psychiatric wards.

Now, desperate to rebuild her career and recover fully from that nightmare period, 26-year-old Britney intends to bounce back at the scene of her humiliation.

Van Toffler, president of MTV Networks Music Group, said: “Everyone deserves a second or third chance, right?

“I’m not sure how we top Britney opening the show but we are working on it every minute of every day.”

Britney is already appearing in commercials previewing next month’s event at Paramount studios alongside Russell Brand, who will host the show.

A friend said last night: “She is as nervous as hell but at the same time itching to get back in front of the same audience where she screwed up so badly last time.

“It is the perfect platform for her to announce to her fans and the world that the dark days are behind her and she’s back on track with her life and her career.

“She really wants to do this, despite the jitters.”

Britney’s father James will legally remain in charge of her finances and business affairs until December.

Last week he told the American edition of OK! magazine that he hopes to be able to hand back the reins of her life to her by the end of the year.

Asked of his relationship with Britney, he said: “It’s wonderful. But like all daughters she is very manipulative and cunning, so she gets what she wants a lot.”

In the same magazine issue, a relaxed and happy-looking Britney, who posed for pictures with her sons Sean Preston, two, and year-old Jayden James, revealed that she is writing and recording a new album, due out in nine months, which she believes will be her “best work ever”.

She will also return to her role as air-head receptionist Abby in US?TV sitcom How I Met Your Mother, where producers say her performances are “mature and very professional”.

A possible movie part is also being discussed, said a source close to the Spears family, who added of the MTV awards show: “This is her big chance to make amends and let everyone see that she is becoming the Britney of old again.”

According to the Dutch press today, the Dutch musician and producer Junkie XL has submitted 3 songs for possible use on Britney’s forthcoming sixth studio album.

He was asked to submit the songs by Britney’s people and worked with Nicole Morier on the lyrics to the songs.  In the interview he gave to Dutch media, he says that he is one of over 20 producers working on the album.

Junkie XL is most known in the Britney world for his remix of “And Then We Kiss” in 2005.  Nicole Morier was one of the writers of “Heaven On Earth” on Britney’s last album.

After delivering one of the worst performances in the history of the MTV Video Music Awards, Britney Spears has a chance to be crowned this year as the absolute best.

The rebounding pop queen is nominated for video of the year for “Piece of Me,” a clip that had fun with her reputation as a tabloid queen. Other nominees included the Jonas Brothers for “Burnin Up,” Chris Brown for “Forever,” the Pussycat Dolls for “When I Grow Up” and newcomers The Ting Tings for “Shut Up and Let Me Go.”

Other nominees announced Friday — Paramore, Fall Out Boy, Slipknot, Linkin Park and Foo Fighters — were in the category of best rock video.

This is Spears third nomination for this year’s VMAs; earlier, fans nominated her for best pop video and best female video, both for “Piece of Me.”

Spears’ nominations are ironic considering neither the song nor the album from which it came, “Blackout,” were significant hits; both were released amid Spears’ spectacular public decline over the past year, and her performance at last year’s VMAs in Las Vegas represented one of the lowlights of her fall from grace. She was universally ridiculed for her unkempt look and sloppy performance, which kicked off the VMAs and instantly became one of pop’s classic moments.

In recent months, though, Spears has been on an upswing. Since her father James took over her personal and professional affairs after being appointed by a court as her conservator, her erratic behavior has virtually stopped; she settled her custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline over their two sons; and made appearances on CBS’ “How I Met Your Mother,” which were critical and ratings successes.

There’s a possibility she get a chance to redeem last year’s bad performance at this year’s VMAs, to be held Sept. 7 in Los Angeles; MTV has confirmed they are in talks to have Spears appear in some capacity, and she’s appearing in two video ads to promote the show.

Russell Brand has been selected to host this year’s VMAs, which is to include performances from Kid Rock, Lil Wayne and the Jonas Brothers. Other nominees include Kanye West, Jordin Sparks, Madonna, Rihanna and Katy Perry.

Photographers caught a glimpse of Britney last night at a recording studio in Hollywood, where she was accompanied by her manager, Larry Rudolph.  According to the stalkers on the scene, Britney spent over 4 hours inside recording!

What’s a typical day for you with Preston and Jayden?
Well, when I have my children, I’ll get up and make them pancakes.

Blueberry or plain?
Plain pancakes, with sausages. Then we’ll go outside and take a walk. Then I like to do something physical with them, like swimming. Nap time is 1-3pm, and then I’ll read to them.

What do you read?
The Berenstain Books, and anything with cars in it, too.

Are they both into cars?
Yes, big time. I’ve watched the Cars movie nine million times.

What are some of the games you like to play with the boys?
We don’t really play games. We love to read books and do out artwork. And they’re outside a lot in their little cars.

The Britney Spears bonanza continues!

Check out this just released snap of the comeback queen with her two boys, Jayden James and Sean Preston, during her first interview in two years.

Let’s not waste any time.

Britney on her sister Jamie Lynn becoming a mother: “I was shocked a little bit. She’s always been the baby, and now the baby was having a baby. But I’m sure my boys will be like big brothers to Maddie.”

Britney on her new album: “I think it is more urban. I’m writing every day, right here at the piano in this living room. This is my best work ever.”

Britney on working with Harvey Mason Jr. of The Underdogs: “I am working with producers who are just amazing. The album is due out in the next six to nine months.”

Britney on enjoying domestic life: “I get mad if the maid does all the housework. If she takes it all into her own hands, well, what’s for me to do? I’m a cleaning fanatic. Dusting is my favorite, and Windex-ing.”

Britney on whether she cooks for her family: “I do. Usually the maid and I will cook together. Sean and Jayden love my spaghetti.”

Britney on focusing on the mommy track these days: “I’m healthy, happy and excited about the future.”

- She has the boys Monday and Wednesday, plus noon on Friday until noon on Saturday. Next overnight visit: October 1.

-She recently saw Mamma Mia! “I thought it was kind of silly,” she says. “I saw Hancock, which I loved.”

-What’s she listening to? “I really like Rihanna. I think she’s great. And the girl Duffy. I think she’s amazing. And I like the new Madonna CD. I like Leona Lewis, too.”

Britney was spotted by photographers last night at Underlab, a digital visual effects studio in Los Angeles.

According to the studio’s website, they specialize in feature film visual effects and animation.  Their aim is to work with “filmmakers from pre-production through post, Underlab Studios helps to bring the edge to filmmaking, story telling and art.”
