More Info On Britney’s New Album & Tentative Release Date

 POSTED BY Danny

In part 2 of our interview with Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, the super producer spoke exclusively to Rap-Up TV about reuniting with Britney Spears and Brandy for their new albums.

Jerkins was back in the studio with Spears for the first time in seven years to produce some tracks for the pop star’s as-yet-untitled sixth studio album, which he revealed is scheduled for an early 2009 release. With this album, the trackmaster behind Spears’ “Overprotected (Remix),” said he’s “trying to reinvent her” and described the new sound as “very dancey, really uptempo, in the clubs, real aggressive, and catchy.”

Darkchild called the superstar a “professional” and cited a recent session where she completed a song in two hours. “She walked in at 8:30 and was out by 10:30.”

DAT MEANS A NEW SINGLE COULD BE RELEASED BETWEEN OCTOBER-DECEMBER… I HOPE SHE RELEASES TWO SINGLES B4 DA NEW ALBUM DROPS. DAT WAY IF PEOPLE HEAR TWO GOOD SONGS THEY WOULD KNOW WHY 2 BUY THE ALBUM. BESIDES ONE SONG IS NOT GONNA HOLD UP UNTIL EARRLY 2009 (WHICH IS LIKE BETWEEN JANUARY-MARCH)

i dont think it will be released “early” 2009… it will be either winter 2008, or otherwise after june next year

Danny on Monday, June 30, 2008 @ 7:33 pm

This is pretty cool. The Overprotected Remix was way better then the original(which was a good song to begin with) so this has good potential. And it’s funny they refer to her as a superstar now when a few months ago everyone was referring to her as that dumb nickname, popwreck. Odd how minds change.

um bcuz she is in a better mind state

the no.1 thing the girl has
to have is respect,
especially toward my parents.
and right after personality,
the physical appeal

Jeff…ur from the phillipines?? I’m from malaysia. Hey!!!

By the way, Danny, ooohhhhh it will be soooo disappointing if the album is released june next year. I can’t wait a year!!! I hope it’s like end of this year, with a superhot kick ass first single that’s she gonna perform everywhere!!!

Once again i agree with Mimi, i reckon having two singles released before the album would be a good step, although after the first single came out i would start getting very impatient. I hope Britney puts her all into this album and its promotion, i wanna see in the UK doing some amazing shows and putting out awesome videos that make people want to watch her again. Come back Britney and make the world love you again xoxox

THIS IS JUST A RUMOR RIGHT NOW AS A SINGLE…..

After their initial collaboration on “Everybody” and “Toy Soldier”, off her latest disc “Blackout”, pop star Britney Spears is back in the studio crafting new hits with producer Jonathan “J.R.” Rotem (Christina Milian, Jesse McCartney) and singer/songwriter Sean “The Pen” Garrett (Jennifer Hudson, Usher Raymond) for her 6th studio album with Jive Records.

The first official track slated for the new project is “All The Way”, written by Cathy Dennis. [Who also pinned “Toxic” which was Britneys first Top 10 Single since Oops I Did It Again. “All The Way” was produced by Jack Splash (Beyonce Knowles, Estelle Swaray) and Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald (Kelly Clarkson, Avril Lavigne).

Danny on Wednesday, July 2, 2008 @ 2:35 pm

hope there is an odd ballad on the new album!! or some slow jam, or R n B would be real good

Matthew J Richards on Wednesday, July 2, 2008 @ 4:20 pm

Yeah i’d a like atleast a couple slow jams, not that im complaining about the dancier tracks from Blackout, it’s just that tracks like State Of Grace are soo good and could easily have been included. I love all of this talk of new albums xoxox
