i dont think its that bad. of course, in previouse videos she showed a lot of herself - danceing, singing, doing crazy stuff and just being an eye catcher. and now she is just a virtual character. but hey, its a cool concept and well done, i mean the graphics

I dont think its that bad. Britney is one of kind singer in Music Industry who loves to invent in her image each video from her like the others and we all know britney wants to prove that she can do anything and its possible for her because its britney!

oke i have seen the video and i must say this is not a great video.
its like your wathing some japanese cartoon with the music above it.

I like the part @ 00.44 when she’s walkin and steps Ice and Fire. Dat sht wuz tight. I think dats a sign,but I have 2 say a again da concept wuz great but it does not go wit the song. I really don’t like it. But I do understand da video about britney being a robot and in the end the robot being detroyed and she is no longer being controlled and being some kinda puppet and how da guys ina suit I guys represent the people who controlled her…. It could have been way better… (as an anime)

I’d rather we were all duped into watching a fake video than have that horrible piece of shit having any connection to her! Maybe it was the original baby 1 more time video…whatever…I feel like I should be demanding a refund, even tho I didn’t pay to watch the video.

I watched the video for the second time today and this is the interpretation i got out of it:

The blonde haired girl with her eyes closed is her old self and she’s showing people that she’ll never be like that again and we need to accept her as she is now. The guys are all the paparazzi that follow her and she’s pretty much saying F** them and she’s going to live her life the way she wants to.

But then I came across another way it could be interpreted:

The blonde haired girl with her eyes closed is the girl we’ve been seeing the last 2 years. she’s been blind to love and to the world, but now’s she’s stronger and is letting go of everything in her past and becoming a new stronger woman. The guys are still the paparazzi and she’s still saying F** them.

I don’t know what everyone’s beef is with this video. I personally love it. Of course I’m also a huge fan of anime. I think people are nit picking and turned off by the fact it wasn’t what they were expecting so much that they can’t really see the greatest of the video. It’s expanding on the idea that Toxic presented of her being a this cool superhero/spy chick and presenting it in a different more stylish way. Which is a great idea to begin with. It’s something totally new and different for her showing she’s trying new things which is always cool. And if you pay enough attention and think about it enough you can see a lot of meaning to the video and messages thrown throughout. Shows that it has some real depth and it’s just a bunch of flashing animation. Speaking of the animation it’s very nicely done and I love the style of it. I think they did a great job on the visuals. There’s so many great things about the video and I don’t think people letting themselves see it. Plus I think people need to have a little more faith in Britney in that she knows what she’s doing. She’s been in music for a long time now. She knows a few things on how to be successful.

By the way I still think they should turn this into a cartoon series or movie. I think it’s that awesome. Britney the Anime! Plus let’s see if Britney can do voiceovers.

I think this is it…and I’m not very happy about that. I’m just gonna continue rooting for her NEXT video.

An animated video isn’t a bad idea, especially as a last resort. This video just didn’t cut it. They could have made her a little prettier, but that is the least of the problems.
The biggest mistake is the fact that this is a fast-paced dance song. The animated video was so slow and out of sync with the entire song. You can’t have heavy, fast beats to images of slow motion, at least not for an entire song. This video needed lots of quick action that acknowledges the fact that their is a song connected to it.

“a flop single” are you for real? no realy? is that a joke? i mean have you heard the song?

This video is supost to be her own idea, akin to toxic, yer right! This video is a Ghost in the Shell rip off from start to finish, the song even sounds like the start music to the tv series, except its not as good. And if you dont beleive me heres a list of exactly how it rips off GitS.

Ghost in the Shell, starts with the heronie jumping off a huge building to smash through glass and take out her target.

Throughout all of Ghost in the shell are images of clones/cyborgs within floatation tanks, the image of britneys face getting so close to the glass,liquid surface is a direct rip off.

The interface on the tank woman’s head is the same shape as the vr file interfaces used in Ghost

And the building exploding like that, can you say fiirst climax in Stand Alone Complex.

As an animated character she bears a very close resemblance to a robotic body used by a major character called the Puppet Master in Ghost.

The video also rips of iconic image composistions from Sailor Moon and Aeon Flux, as well as many many more maga series. The bit with the moon behind her head, Sailor Moon or Elven Lied anyone?

Oh by the way in cyberpunk ICE stands for Intrusion Countermeasure Electronics (kinda ultra hard firewalls) Ice Breaking is akin to hacking in cyberpunk fiction wich feature plots that usually revolve around human relationships and loves a factor most of the main stream just dont get. The only way she came up with this idea is if she’d just watched Ghost in the Shell, more likely one of her PR people fanboys heard this track and made the link cause muscially the song could fit in to a Ghost episode.

Well… having waited for this video for quite a while and imagining what it would be like, i have to say i am dissapointed.
Firstly, when i found out that Jive would be releasing ‘Break The Ice’ as the third single off ‘Blackout’ i thought it was a great decision. My mind went straight to the music video, i thought with a song like this Britney would be able to star in a fantastic video, with amazing choreography, high production value and maybe even some action sequences. I really thought after the video for ‘Piece of Me’, Britney was getting back into creating music video’s that we all know and love her for.
So i was very dissapointed when i found out it was going to be animated and would not feature her. However after a while i thought an animation could be amazing if done well. I imagined it would be in the style of a video game, with a hot looking Britney.
But this video is definitely not all that, but what puzzles me most is that, the actual video does not go with the song, they just don’t go together, and it seems like the video is seperate, and the song is just being played over it.
Another thing that worries me is that at the end it says: to be continued…, which makes me think the fourth music video will just be a continuation of this one. If it is then i will be extremelly dissapointed, especially as Britney was the queen of music video’s pre - ‘Gimme More’.
