Britney Enjoying Acting Again

Britney Spears has already earned rave reviews from her How I Met Your Mother castmates. Now the pop star is sharing the love.

“Working at How I Met Your Mother has been so terrific,” Spears says. “Everyone, including the cast, the crew and the producers, has been wonderful and Abby is such a fun girl to play. I’m having a blast!”

The singer, who arrived on set promptly at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, is expected to continue shooting on Thursday afternoon following a visit with her sons. “The filming schedule was worked out so that she could still keep her visitation with her two boys,” a source tells PEOPLE. “That was very important.”

Apart from her assistant, Brett, the singer was joined on set Wednesday by her father, Jamie, and mother, Lynne. “Her parents kept thanking everyone onset … saying this is just what their daughter needed,” the source says.

Plus, Spears was quite prepared for her role. While castmember Josh Radnor joked that the singer “knew her lines better than I knew mine,” a show source confirms that the singer was “very sweet and cute and she chewed gum obsessively on set.”

If all goes well, could this be a continuing role? Says the show source: “She had a lot of fun doing it and she even mentioned extending her character. Who knows? She got along really well with everyone.”

Spears’ guest turn on How I Met Your Mother is scheduled to air March 24.

Danny, do u like absolutely hate her new video, or you would give it like a 40% or somethin??

Coz i have been compromising on her efforts in the gimme more video, but after watchin it like 100 times, i thought it was pretty cool (the different lightings, the raw effect and that mean alter-ego look)

BUT, i’ve watched break the ice video 6 times already and…….I don’t even wanna say this, but I think Jive should come up with another way fast to promote this single.

I’m saying this coz I know I have the right to do so after loving her for 10 years and rooting for her all the way. I’m still a die-hard britney fan and nothing’s gonna change that. Period! But, most of us love her coz the real britney is a genius when it comes to shooting videos. Jive as though just gave up. The “real” britney “shows” effort!

Yeah, i know…..at the end of the day, I’m still gonna be telling all my friends how great break the ice video is, how genius the anime concept was, and just how great she has always been!

Ohhhh…..britney…

i do c were youre coming from but alot of people seam to like it so…….
i think its a good move by jive her careere is finaly starting to overshadow all the other stuff and ders a big hype about brit apearing on “how i met youre mother”

I’d rather Britney get well and focus on her personal life right now. I’m starting to think 2007 wasn’t the best year for Britney to make a comeback in the music industry. I don’t think anyone could have predicted she’d end up in the hospital twice, though. I’m satisfied with animated videos for now.

Okay, ben and all u guys…..i’ll watch it more often…and i actually kinda like her outfit. Lol!!!!

I’ve been a britney fan since i was born or somethin…I know she’ll pull through coz SHE ALWAYS HAS! Jive has always made her venture into new dimensions (sexy-sultry slave, undecover agent, raw pole dancer, classy diva) and now…they have made her come up with an anime video.

Part of being the queen of pop is to pursue and conquer all aspects of music. BRITNEY SPEARS HAS DONE THAT!!!

Its OK to hate the video and still be a Britney fan. I personally do not like it and think that they should have taken a different approach. Not everything she does is going to be loved by all fans all the time.

I think some fans just don’t like it for the fact that Britney didn’t actually contribute to the video. Some people need to understand there are more important things going on in her life right now than her career.
