Sean Garrett Says New Material Will "Shake Up The World"

Currently enjoying pop and R&B/hip-hop chart success with Enrique Inglesias’ “Do You Know? (The Ping Pong Song)/Dimelo” and Chris Brown’s “Wall to Wall,” Sean “The Pen” Garrett has more to come. He’s just finished up sessions with Britney Spears and is also working on songs for Usher, the Pussycat Dolls’ Nicole Scherzinger, Keyshia Cole and Ashlee Simpson.

Of his collaboration with Spears, he notes, “I’ve got this one record I’ve been holding for 10 months that everyone has tried to buy, but I stayed with Britney on it. I guarantee it will shake up the world. It’s uptempo, out of control … it’s wowzers, produced by me and Bloodshy. I can’t give the title yet, but the record is done and definitely what people want to hear from her.”

Despite a songwriting resume that includes Usher’s “Yeah!” and Brown’s “Run It,” Garrett — who in May shared BMI songwriter of the year kudos with fellow songwriter Kara DioGuardi — says he’s still at the learning stage.

“Winning songwriter of the year made me feel like, wow, I’ve accomplished something. But I’m not a person who feels he knows everything. Now I’m getting the opportunity to really start writing incredible records. And it’s not about making money. I don’t do it for that. I grew up loving music. This is my dream.”

No Drugs Or Alcohol Found In Britney's System When She Checked Into Rehab

Britney Spears feels totally betrayed by her mom, her soon-to-be ex husband, her former manager and Promises, the rehab facility she called home for nearly a month. In short, she claims she never had a drug or alcohol problem but was railroaded into rehab.

Sources tell TMZ that Lynne Spears, Kevin Federline and then-manager Larry Rudolph all pressured Britney to check herself in. We’re told Spears acknowledged having emotional problems after her second child was born, but strongly maintained she did not have a drug or alcohol problem.

Nonetheless, multiple sources say Federline threatened to go public by going to court to wrestle custody from her if she didn’t go to rehab. Sources say Spears could not withstand the pressure from her mom, Federline and Ruldolph, and checked into Promises last February 20.

We’re told eventually the professionals believed Spears suffered from post-partum depression, made worse because she stopped taking Prozac. She was also emotionally crumbling because of a messy divorce and intense media scrutiny.

After leaving Promises, as paparazzi waited for the golden shot of Britney drinking again, she began getting angry that she was at a rehab facility in the first place. Britney and her assistant, Allie Sims, called Promises multiple times, asking for a copy of the report showing that she tested dirty for drugs and/or alcohol when she checked in.

We’re told it took several days to get an answer. Only two reports were sent to Britney’s rep, both showing no drug or alcohol use whatsoever. Most shocking, the first report was dated March 7, 15 days after Britney checked in.

Sources say one of Britney’s reps then called the facility and asked for any evidence of a dirty test, but she was told there was nothing in the file. The question — if the first test was taken more than two weeks after Britney checked in, how could they treat her if they didn’t know the problem?

Britney fired Rudolph and has now drawn a line in the sand with her mom. As for Federline, we’re told he’s threatened to go to court and question Britney’s fitness as a mom every time there’s a disagreement. Spears, who is extremely protective, does not want to expose her kids to a public battle, so she’s caved on many of his demands.

We’re told Britney’s legal team has repeatedly asked to have a “private” judge handle disputes in a private office (that’s the M.O. of her divorce lawyer, Laura Wasser, in celeb divorce cases), away from the cameras, but Federline has insisted that everything be handled at the L.A. County Courthouse, where the media could record their comings and goings.

TMZ spoke with Dr. Donna Markus at Promises but she said, because of patient confidentiality, her facility had no comment.

Larry Rudolph and Lynne Spears could not be reached for comment.

Federline’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, says, “When one person in a divorce has great means and influence, and the other much less so, leaving the case in the public system makes that person more comfortable that they’ll be on a level playing field as the case is heard.”

Britney To Perform At The Greek Theatre In LA Next Weekend

Nearly two months after her Southern California mini-tour in early May, Britney Spears is getting ready to hit the stage again.

June 30 at L.A.’s Greek Theatre, she’s due to join Cyndi Lauper, Erasure, Debbie Harry, The Dresden Dolls, The MisShapes with special guest Jeffree Star and host Margaret Cho live onstage for the “True Colors” concert tour, Spears’s choreographer, Misha Gabriel, tells PEOPLE.

Friday at the Millennium Dance Complex in North Hollywood, the pop star held final callbacks to find the two male backup dancers she’ll add to her act.

Only snag, she never showed up.

The plan had been for Spears to select two guys (out of 21) to join her in the choreographic number she’ll perform at the Greek.

Instead, however, she put her two longtime trusted female backup dancers – Criscilla Crossland and Lark – in charge of the process. The two videotaped all the aspirants, for Spears to observe and select at a later time.

Earlier, on June 7 (also at Millennium), Spears was there to oversee auditions herself, with nearly 150 men seeking to pop, lock, whack, vogue, b-boy, breakdance, robot and moonwalk their way into her heart.

Those who were put through paces that day did so to Spear’s new, as-yet unreleased song.

As dancer Sam Pete, 25, described the tune to PEOPLE: “It was dope. It reminded me of that one song you hear at 1:50 a.m., when they call last call at a club, and it’s the hottest, nastiest song you’ve ever heard in your life and you’ve just got to put your drink down and dance to it. You’ve got no choice. You’re body is insisting on it.”

Lynne Talks About Britney In The Latest Issue Of Us Weekly Magazine

For the first time since their rift over her stint in rehab, Britney Spears’ mother has broken her silence and talks to US Weekly about some of the
difficulties her famous daughter has faced this past year.

“You go into a time in your life with the world watching and you are just trying to figure yourself out,” Lynne Spears told US in an exclusive interview that is featured in the latest issue of the magazine. “It’s sad that the whole world had to watch her make mistakes that all of us have made at one time or another.”

Earlier this year, the pop star found herself in a downward spiral that culminated in a wild public meltdown that featured video footage of her shaving her head in a California salon and lashing out against a photographer¹s car with an umbrella before she checked into rehab.

And her famous blond locks weren¹t the only thing the mother of two cut off at that time.

“She decided that she had to cut out everyone who was using her, and that included her parents,” says a source of Spears, 26.

The estrangement was especially hard on the pop star’s mother.

“Lynne was like Britney¹s best friend, so when Britney started partying and her mom tried to control her, she got mad,” a family source explains.

Happily, the two reconciled on June 10, speaking for the first time in months and quietly taking their first steps back to a peaceful relationship.

And now Lynne tells Us Weekly how she and her daughter are coping.

“Britney Jean Spears is the sweetest and the most sensitive and loving of all my children,” the mother of three tells Us. “She¹s just figuring things out.”

To read more of this exclusive interview, and to learn about Lynne’s forbidden friendship that broke her famous daughter¹s heart, check out the new issue of Us Weekly, on newsstands this week.

"Get Back" Will Be The First Single According To Songwriter

As we posted earlier, Souldiggaz have been written a song called “Get Back” for Britney’s new album. Various people have messaged him/them on myspace and got a reply saying that it would be the new single.

He said it would be out in September and that Nate “Danja” Hills was the producer.

Of course this could still change… Britney may record a better song for the comeback single.

I wouldn’t hold my breath over it happening. Jive have told various songwriters on Britney’s previous albums that their songs would be the lead singles (the Matrix, “Shadow”; Ying Yang Twins, “Boom Boom”; R Kelly “Outrageous”, BT ” Before The Goodbye” etc. and it didn’t happen in the end…
